THE RIVERTON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION (RCA) is a planned unit development (PUD) that was established in 1973 in the Town of Henrietta. Located in the southwestern part of Henrietta, it is a community with about 920 residential units, owned and rented, as well as commercial property.

The community is planned for diverse housing units, open space and common recreational facilities. There are 240 rental apartments and townhouses throughout the neighborhood, a 54 unit rental apartment complex for seniors, and about 600 attached and detached homes.

There is more than three miles of lighted bike paths, three pools, three tennis courts, a basketball court, multiple tot-lots, a community center, and acres of common property. Some of these facilities have membership fees or user payments. The master plan for future growth and the controlled exterior changes of present, private and commonly owned property is managed by the Riverton Board of Directors for the Riverton Community Association.

There is an annual association assessment for maintenance of common lands and operations of the Riverton Community Association. The Riverton Covenants and By-Laws establish that the Riverton Board of Directors and the Architectural Review Board carry out the protection on all property located in Riverton. Directors are elected at an annual March meeting of all registered voters. The Architectural Review Board is appointed by the Board of Directors annually. Both Boards' Members are volunteers. They meet bi-weekly at the Betty Ann McDonald Community Center. Actions of these Boards are printed in the bi-monthly newsletter.
