The pool area is open daily when the air temperature is 650F or higher per the temperature on the linked website above. Please note that if there is a torrential downpour or thunder and lightning, the pool area will not be open.
CASH AT POOL: $20 bills are not accepted for transactions under $10.
Please remember that you can purchase guest passes online with a credit card.
DEEP END OR USE OF DIVING BOARD requires anyone under the age of 18 to complete a deep end test obtained by RCA lifeguards. After passing the deep end test, a "green wristband" is given and will need to be worn to swim in the deep end.
POOL CLOSING GUIDELINES: RCA reserves the right to change pool hours for special programs or weather conditions. Please check this website or call the pool office for closures. The pool staff may, from time to time during the day, close one of the pools for breaks, maintenance, or special group use. During heavy rain or the threat of lightening or thunder, the pool will be closed, and all swimmers must leave the pool area until the guards reopen the area.
PARKING: Parking is provided in the Drumlin Square parking lot which is across Scottsville-West Henrietta Road from Hepatica Lane. Parking is also permitted at the RCA Community Center located at 280 Scottsville-West Henrietta Road. Please be cautious when crossing streets.
UPON CHECK IN: Please check in with a staff member upon entering the pool area. If you have purchased a Provisional Membership additional usage fees apply. Provisional Resident fee: $1 per person per day
Provisional non-resident fee: $2 per person per day. If bringing a guest, please see guest rules.
A guest must be a person from outside of Riverton. You cannot reside in Riverton and be a guest. The conduct of guests is the direct responsibility of the pool member. A pool member must accompany a guest to the check-in desk and sign him/her in. The pool member is also required to stay with the guest. A pool member may have up to five (5) guests per day.
Resident pool member: $3.00 per guest
Non-resident pool member: $5.00 per guest
All guests under the age of ten (10) must be checked in by an adult member. However, a child who is a pool member may sign in any of his/her guest(s).
NOTE: The Riverton Community Association is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Members should be encouraged to safeguard their valuables when in the pool. The Board reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member who disobeys any of the pool rules. The pool staff may also suspend pool privileges of any person not complying with these rules for up to three days without the approval of RCA.

THE POOL STAFF IS IN COMPLETE CHARGE OF THE POOL PREMISES.
THEY ARE FULLY AUTHORIZED TO ENFORCE THE FOLLOWING RULES:
1.Any child under the age of TEN (10) must be directly supervised in and out of the water by a parent, guardian or babysitter, age 14 or older. Any child who is unable to swim independently is permitted in the diving or lap pools only if accompanied in the water by an eligible person who remains within an arm’s length of the non-swimmer. Coast Guard approved swim aids must be used for non-swimming children in the diving and lap pools.
2.Beginning swimmers must take a deep-end test administered by a lifeguard to be allowed to use the diving board or swim in the deep end of the diving or lap pools.
3.Parents are responsible for supervising children in the wading pool. This pool is provided for ages EIGHT (8) and under. Children older than 8 should not be using this pool.
4.Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children when using the pool facilities. Parents are also responsible for any damages caused by their children.
5.All swimmers must wear proper swim attire. Cutoffs, shorts, etc., cannot be substituted for swimsuits. Babies in diapers must wear close-fitting rubber pants or swimming diapers.
6.Hair that is longer than shoulder-length must be pulled back and secured while in the water.
7.Inflatable toys may only be used in the wading pool. Other toys, such as nerf-type balls, may only be used with permission from the lifeguards on duty. Floats, rafts, large tubes, boogie boards etc., present visibility hazards and are not allowed. Snorkeling gear & "mermaid fins" or mono-fins, are not permitted in any pool.
8.Diving sticks are prohibited from use in the pools because of the danger of impalement. However, diving rings are permitted.
9.NOglass bottles, containers, etc., are allowed in the pool area. NO alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are allowed in the pool area.
10.Eating and drinking are not allowed on the concrete deck area within six feet of the pool edges.
11.There is NO SMOKING in and around the pool complex including immediately outside the gate.
12.Bikes, skateboards, Heelys, and roller blades may not be used in the pool area and must be removed upon entering the complex. All bikes should be placed in the bike rack provided and locked.
13.Members and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner appropriate for a family establishment. Foul language or inappropriate behavior will NOT be tolerated and may be grounds for removal from the premises. Behavior deemed to be unsafe by the staff is also not permitted.
14.There isNO RUNNING, NO DANGEROUS HORSEPLAY, NO CHICKEN FIGHTS, AND NOPUSHING allowed in the pool complex.
15.Tampering with or defacing of pool equipment or property will be dealt with appropriately.
16.Diving is only permitted from the diving board, sides of the diving pool between the ladders, and/or the board when no one is using it. Diving is prohibited anywhere else. Running dives from the sides are not permitted.
17.The following rules apply to the diving board:
· One person on the board at a time
· Forward dives or jumps only; no flips, reverses, inward, backward or other “fancy” dives
· Only one bounce on the end of the board
· No jumping or diving until the area in front of the board is completely clear of other swimmers
· No sitting on, hanging from, or swimming under the board
· For safety, always remember to keep your arms and hands in front of you when you dive.
18.The lap lane must be cleared of all non-lap swimmers if someone wishes to swim laps. Jumping across the lap lane is not allowed. Hanging on the lines causes them to pull out of the wall anchors and is also not allowed.

RCA Annual Picnic
The Riverton Pool will be closed on July 21st at 4pm in preparation of the resident only pool party. If you are a resident would like to attend the picnic, please RSVP by completing form on page 3 of the newsletter attached here. The pool will re-open to all pool members on July 22nd; regular pool hours (weather permitting).
